No-bake Persian Coconut sweet with orange blossom water-لوز نارگیل برای نوروز

Loz-e-Nargil for Nowruz , Coconut sweet

Ingredients:2 cups unsweetened shredded coconut, 1/2 cup sugar,1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons milk or coconut milk,2 tablespoons orange blossom water or rosewater, 1 tbs corn starch for thickening, powdered pistachio for garnish
This no bake sweet tastes like heaven, melts in your mouth and is perfect for New Year.
  1. Mix water and sugar in a small  pan, bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Continue to simmer for another 10 minutes or until the syrup thickens a little bit. Add corn starch and let blend. Remove from heat and  beat well with a whisk until the texture is as thick as honey. Return the pan back to the stove. Add the coconut, rosewater and  milk, mix well over very low heat for about 5 minutes or until well blended. Pour the mixture into an 5*10 inch lined pan. Cover and refrigerate for 3-4 hours or until firm. 
  2. Cut the loz in diamond-shaped pieces and sprinkle pistachio powder.
Serve with fresh brewed hot tea!
